Country Parkway's Summer Reading Program is HERE!
Families often have questions about students, school events, and more. While personal student questions should be directed to your child's teacher, some questions have answers that benefit the broader Country Parkway community.
This page collects frequently asked questions and helpful questions that aren't otherwise covered on our website. We'll continue adding to it throughout the school year.

A: For drop-off, please use the carpool lane, remain in your vehicle, and follow staff instructions. Staff will assist your child out of the vehicle.
For pick-up, remain in your vehicle and display your child's name card in the front window. Follow staff instructions, have your ID ready, and remain in the car while staff assists your child into the vehicle. If multiple people pick up your child, please make copies of the name card for each driver.
Walkers/bikers: A written note is required for your child to be released as a walker at 2:55 p.m. All confirmed walkers will be released by 2:55 p.m. each day. Without a note, parents/guardians who walk to school for pickup must wait until carpool dismissal is complete so staff can verify identification.
A: Click here to print a form for communicating absences and dismissal plans. Please also call the Attendance Office (716-626-9866) to notify the school of your child’s absence. It is the parent’s responsibility to send a written note on the first day back after an absence. This can be done by sending a WITS mail to the Attendance Office.
A: There are no restrictions on any peanut or tree nut products in the cafeteria. The lunchroom has allergy-free table assignments. If there is a child with a severe, life-threatening allergy in your classroom, there are no peanut or tree nut products allowed to be consumed or distributed in that specific classroom, including snacks.
A: Families should check with their individual teacher if there is a snack scheduled for the class and if there are any restrictions. UPK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade typically have snack time. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades typically do not have snack during the day.
A: Students should bring a personal/reusable water bottle to the cafeteria every day. Water cups are not available. Water bottles should be properly labeled with the child's name. They can be refilled at the bottle refilling station outside the cafeteria.
A: The lost and found is located in a nook across from the Health/Attendance Office in the hallway off the main foyer. The best way to avoid lost items is to label your student's belongings!
A: You will receive WITS messages periodically during the year to notify you about upcoming fire and lockdown drills that will be taking place during the school day. Staff will be trained on these drills before they take place, and they are intended to keep all students in the school safe. For additional resources about school safety, please see the following (provided by Country Parkway staff on 9/8/2025):
A: Yes. As of November 2025, the district has streamlined its Parent Volunteer paperwork for those who volunteer in the lunchroom and/or volunteer at Country Parkway on a regular basis (e.g., Room Parents or lunchroom parents). If you currently volunteer, or would like to volunteer regularly at Country Parkway, visit our Volunteer Page for instructions to complete training. Please note: If you are a lunchroom volunteer, the school will confirm that the form has been completed before entry. As always, thank you for your continued support in upholding the district procedures that maximize the safety of our students and staff!
A: No! We welcome any parent to volunteer their time at one of our events or on one of our planning committees! If you are interested in joining a committee, please click here.
