As you know, we are actively working to renew our School of Excellence designation, a distinction we've proudly held for many years. As part of this process, please complete a brief 3-question survey now (link below) to guide our action plan, and watch for a follow-up survey later this spring to help measure our progress. The School of Excellence designation process focuses on strengthening the partnership between families and school, guided by the six National PTA Standards for Family-School Partnerships.
Identification of Focus Standard
Thank you to those who completed our School of Excellence feedback survey in the fall. Based on your responses, we have identified our National PTA Standard focus area as Standard 4: Speaking Up for Every Child. This means we are working to better support families in:
Navigating the School System: Ensuring families are knowledgeable and able to raise questions or concerns about their child's educational experience
Address Inequitable Outcomes and Access: Removing barriers for families to be advocates for and with students - particularly those who are most marginalized
Our Action Plan
We are launching a virtual parental navigation guide - the Family Resource Hub - a new resource designed to help you quickly and easily find the information you need to support and advocate for your child - "getting you the right answers from the right person." The PTA is collaborating with the Shared Decision Making team to develop and create this guide. To make this guide truly useful and immediately beneficial to our Country Parkway community, we need your input. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below and tell us which topics would be most helpful to you. Your feedback will directly shape which topics we develop first.
🚨Take the survey to tell us your Family Resource Hub priorities!🚨
We will expand the guide based on your input until all key topics are covered. As such, the Family Resource Hub will continue to grow through the 2026-2027 school year. The PTA will continue collaborating with the Shared Decision Making team on this project, and next year's SDM goals will align with this project's ongoing development.
Looking Ahead
Later this spring, we will conduct a follow-up School of Excellence Survey to measure the impact of the work we've done to address improvement for Standard 4 (Speaking Up for Every Child), with the Family Resource Hub serving as our first major step forward.
Thank you for partnering with us to build a stronger, more supportive school community. Your voice truly matters.
